Becoming a Site Contributor

Thank you for your interest in becoming a contributor to the Pages' Journey!! This project is made better by lovely people like you lending their time and expertise to it. Contribution opportunities depend on what the site needs at the moment, so please check back to see if there's anything that piques your interest!

As of February 1, 2026, site contributions are now open! Please read through this page carefully before finding the link to the form at the end of this page under "Current Contribution Opportunities."

Please note that much of the site is still under construction. I (Aese) am working on putting together the bones of the site with basic information for each tarot card. Announcements about site progress and future opportunities will be made here on the site and over on the Pages' Journey Tumblr, so please stay tuned.

Contributor Requirements

While we would love to accept contributions from absolutely everyone, our goal is to create a high-quality, accurate resource for people of all skill levels. Therefore, if you'd like to contribute, you should meet these baseline qualities:

  1. You have a demonstrable expertise in your chosen subject
  2. You already know what you would like to contribute, and/or you are willing to be assigned to a piece according to your skillset
  3. You're passionate about divination and the divination community
  4. You're willing to receive feedback and make edits for grammar, spelling, and readability
  5. You can create your contribution(s) without the use of Generative AI

And that's it, honestly! If you would consider yourself at least advanced in your chosen subject, you should toss your hat in the ring.

Things to Know Before You Apply

This project is a not-for-profit endeavor created by and for the divination community. We do not currently solicit donations from the community to fund any part of this project. The project founder, Aese, funds the Neocities domain out of their own pocket. Contributors are volunteers and should not expect financial compensation for their work at this time.

Everything on the Pages' Journey website is published under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. This means that people outside the project can share and adapt any content published on the website so long as they provide credit and aren't using the contents for commercial purposes.

We will contact contributors via email with details about opportunities that are up for grabs (if they opt in). Some opportunities, such as "Contributor Thoughts" on tarot profiles, have limited openings. At any time, contributors may ask to added to or be removed from the contact list and start or stop receiving these invitation emails. In the future, we may create an exclusive Discord for discussions relating to the project, and all contributors will have the option to join or leave at any time.

Contributors can request to withdraw some or all of their content from the website at any time. We will endeavor to fulfill these requests in a timely fashion.

The Pages' Journey project does not seek to be the ultimate authority on anything. Contributors shouldn't, either.

Contributors are expected to cite their sources at every opportunity and make it clear when they're speaking from personal experience. If a contributor makes a claim without a source, they will be asked for more information. Content will not be published until all sources are clear.

This project strictly prohibits the use of Generative AI. If we discover that a contributor has used GenAI to create any part of their piece (writing, editing, etc.) and/or that they have plagiarized even part of their piece, all of their content will be removed from the project, and the contributor will not be welcomed back for further contributions. If you worry about the quality of your piece but you still want to contribute, I (Aese) have done work as an editor and would be more than happy to help you edit your work for grammar, clarity, and content without losing your unique voice.

Current Contribution Opportunities

Currently, we're using one form for all applications. All contributors have the option to be anonymous. Non-anonymous contributors have the option of being listed on our about page with a short "about me" blurb.

Click here to fill out our form on Tally if you're interested in applying for any of these openings!

"Other Perspectives" for Tarot Card Profiles:

Share your unique tarot thoughts! We're collecting contributions for our tarot profiles that offer alternative insights into each card. You can use any deck for your contribution. You may be asked for a clear photo of the card to accompany your interpretation if we don't have access to the deck. Entries must be at least 300 words and preferably no more than 850 words, with an absolute upper limit of 1,000 words.

Our goal is to eventually have two to three alternative interpretations for each card, but we want to have at least one per card before adding more. Openings are first-come, first-served, and cards will be removed from this list as they're claimed. If you select a card that someone else has already claimed, you'll have the option to choose a replacement OR be first in line for that card in the second round. You will receive an email from thepagesjourney@proton.me confirming which cards you'll be writing for either way.

You can select up to three cards to write for in this first round. Once we have a full set, we'll open up another round of claims. (If you want first dibs on the second round and/or other opportunities as they come up, make sure you check "yes" to the question about whether you'd like to receive emails in the future!)

Articles about Divination:

Do you have thoughts and opinions about divination? Have you done an inordinate amount of study on a particular divination topic? Have you been ruminating on an extremely specific divination-related theory for a while and feel a deep desire to share those thoughts? Do you have deep opinions about one specific tarot card that wouldn't fit under the word count cap on the tarot profiles? Would you like to ramble to likeminded individuals who are eager to hear about your divination opinions and interests?

Well, we want to see it! This is a permanent, unlimited offer to anyone who is interested in having their thoughts published right here on the Pages' Journey website. You'll find space to pitch your idea on the standard form under the "Other Suggestions" heading.

Questions from the Community:

If you've got questions, we want to answer them. Whether you're a divination beginner looking for advice on getting started or improving your skills, an adept diviner seeking new ways to think about divination, or a curious mind wanting to pick someone's brain about a particular topic, send us your questions! These Q&As will be published every so often in our site blog and over on Tumblr. If your question is particularly intriguing, it may warrant its own separate article!

For these questions, please do not fill out the regular form. Instead, please send an email to thepagesjourney@proton.me OR an ask or DM to @thepagesjourney on Tumblr! Please be sure to indicate whether you'd like your question to be anonymous or not - we'd like to credit you if we can, or even tag you for the Tumblr posts so you can see our answers!

Future Opportunities:

  • Opening ???: Guides for other types of divination, such as Lenormand, runes, bone throwing, and more.
  • Opening ???: Guides for non-standard tarot decks or individual cards (like the "Happy Squirrel").
